Woooooosh

That is the noise you would have heard if you had been in Boston today. As I'm sure you've probably heard by now the winner of the Boston Marathon, Kenyan, Geoffery Mutai ran the race in 2:03:02.
2:03:02!!?!? Insanely speedy. The speediest, in fact that ANYONE has ever ran a marathon. Pretty astounding if you ask me.

I bet he had to do a lot of carb loading to get that kind of speed.
I think my carb loading meal of choice would be my mom's Chicken Scampi Pasta.
Let's be honest. I eat it when I'm not carb loading. It is sooooo good. Click HERE for the recipe.
Oh and the recipe for this delicious greek salad is HERE.

We're watching Country Strong right now. Have you seen it? At the end Gweneth wears the most fabulous dress.
I want it. You know, just to wear to work while I train people, or to throw on for a quick outing to Yogurtland. Well, I at least plan on running up and down the Y until I look like Gwen in that amazing dress. It looks like some of you are going to take the Y Challenge with me? I LOVE IT. Can we do it together please??

Are you totally astounded with the Boston Marathon results today? I am. It's amazing how these insane world records for speed just continue to get shattered. Don't you want Gwen's amazing legs? Or Kelly Ripa's arms? Is there another celeb favorite that you'd like to body double for?

  1. I'm still blown away by 4:14 miles...and the fact that it didn't count. That just seems mean even though I guess I understand why. Either way, I wish I could have been actually watching instead of following updates online. Stupid job.

  3. Boston was incredible!!! Those runners are absolutely superhuman...I don't understand how they are capable of running that quickly for so long. And they look so comfortable while doing it!

I just put Country Strong in my Netflix...totally forgot about it!

  4. Amazingly speedy. I was checking updates all through class. I wish it would get more recognition in the media.
I want to have Courtney Cox's body.

  5. I still can't believe how fast that guy ran that Boston Marathon - that is totally insaneee... I wish I could run even one mile in the time he averaged! CRAZY!!

And I just saw country strong this weekend - the ending was kind of a disappointment but I like the movie overall - especially the music :)

  6. I am completely blown away by the Boston results. Seriously the sport of running is absolutely insane and astonishing. So freaking inspiring.

I am totally in on the "Y" challenge but must admit I hate running up hills. Hey going outside your comfort zone is good right? I would love Jennifer Anistons body. Not too buff but just perfect!

    Can I borrow your dress after you buy it and wear it to yogurtland so I can wear it to Menchies. We'll start a trend (;

  8. the entire time i'm following boston i'm thinking to myself "he/she is running TWICE the speed i ran on saturday for TWICE the amount of time." totally nutty.

    about the Y trail:

somehow i manage to not cower at the thought of running ridiculous (imo) distances but "run up to the Y" makes me cringe. i could try :)

  9. i meant twice the distance. not twice the amount of time. duh.

  10. How do people get that fast?? Seriously? And how do you sprint for 26.2 miles and not die??

So I kind of don't like Gwen....I know. I said it. She is kind of stuck up and uber opinionated in real life. She is a good actress though. I am going to Netflix Country Strong, I love Leighton Meester. :)

  11. thanks for the yummy recipes!!! i LOVE greek salad like more than anything. really seriously.

I really want to do the Y challenge. I always tell my fam about how the football team has to run the Y and how crazy they are. But deep down and secretly I have always wanted to be able to run it :) Lets run it together! please?

Also...the marathon was crazy. To think of running that far in only 2 hrs kind of makes me feel nauseous. haha. but is incredible.

I went to yogurtland last night and looked around to see if you would maybe be there. I miss you!
