Easy Cheesy Chili

You know my thoughts on high protein meals that are easy. I LOVE THEM. I think most people that know me know this about me. My sister suggested that I try her latest high protein creation, and as skeptical as I was...I LOVED it.

Two ingredients:
Chili + Cottage Cheese
Heat up 1 cup of chili (about a 1/2 a can). I used turkey chili cause I'm not a beef eater. Add to it 1/2 cup of cottage cheese. You can heat up the chili first by itself or mix the two together.
Voila. It's the easiest meal EVER. It may look a lil' curious, but it tastes awesome. You can even eat it on the go like me...
Ultimate ghetto. I know. Sometimes (most the time) I have to eat and run. Now, seriously though...when my sister told me to try this I was SUPER skeptical. I like chili ok, and I like cottage cheese, but mixing them made me a little bit nervous. It honestly tastes like cheesy chili. It's delicious. Not to mention it comes in at about 300 calories and 30 grams of protein depending on the brands that you use. Because the chili is canned there is a higher amount of sodium, so you may want to key into that if you are watching your salt intake. For more high protein meal ideas click HERE.

November 3rd: Today I am grateful for a warm heater in my car. I was reminded very quickly this morning just how chilly it can be at 5:00 AM. I know it's only going to go lower in temps from here, but man that heater is my life saver.

Do you like Chili? Do you dare give this protein packed instant meal a try? Do it. I dare you! What are you grateful for today?

One year ago today...Where are you investing your money? Some thoughts on spending money to get healthy, and at the same time spending money counteracting your efforts.

  1. I like chili (not with beef, though, not a fan of that) and I love anything served in a red cup!! Usually it's bad beer at a frat party, but that is way more nutritious!!
